An intellect by birth who has created sensation in the world of Chess, a master mind which has been ignited when he was a child has many records to himself. His records speaks volumes about the Icon. And he is none other than Vishawanathan Anand, Chess Plutocrat.

Anand was born to Vishwanathan and Susheela . Mrs. Susheela, a homemaker and Chess aficionado by herself has left her son inspired to the game. Its mother’s touch that gave a insight to Anand into the Mysteries of Chess. Then in Madras, already some legends have made their history in Chess. And as young, getting inspired is no rare and was no exception with the champ.

Vishy soon started to play chess in Mikhal Tal Chess Club. And the trouble with vishy was, he would sit down for the first game -- and end up playing all day, as challenger after challenger came and went. Another important stage in Anand's early development came in the late 1970s, when his father was posted as railways consultant in the Philippines. The local television stations used to air chess theory, and chess puzzles, on a daily basis -- and Anand's main hobby was solving them. It got to a stage where the television studio called up Anand and asked him not to enter the contest, in order to give others a chance. From then he participated in many games and won the international accolate and today he an Indian is a World Chess Champion .
